Andre Phillips, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Genetics and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, where he administers research grants on gene regulatory networks and cellular protein folding and degradation.
Before joining NIGMS, Phillips was a staff scientist investigator at the Hussman Institute for Autism.
He earned a B.S. in biology and a Ph.D. in neuroscience at Howard University while conducting research at an intramural National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke laboratory through NIH’s Graduate Partnership Program. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Hugo W. Moser Research Institute at Kennedy Krieger and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
