Biographical Sketch: Behrous Davani, Ph.D.

Behrous Davani, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division for Research Capacity Building, where he oversees the IDeA Regional Entrepreneurship Development (I-RED) Program, and manages grants for the Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE), IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE​), Science Education Partnership Awards (SEPA), and the Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) Programs. 

​Prior to joining NIGMS, he was a program director at the National Cancer Institute. Davani earned a B.Sc. in molecular biology from Stockholm College University and a Ph.D. in molecular endocrinology from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
