Sheila A. Caldwell, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division for Research Capacity Building, where she oversees the Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) program, and manages grants for the NARCH, the Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) and the IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) programs.
She was previously a program officer in the Division of Research Infrastructure at the former National Center for Research Resources. Caldwell earned a B.A. in international relations from Boston University and a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular oncology from George Washington University. She conducted postdoctoral research at the National Cancer Institute.
