Grant Supplements Recognize Excellence in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Mentorship

Seventeen National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) grants received supplements through a new NIH program that recognizes principal investigators for outstanding mentoring and contributions to enhancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in the biomedical sciences. The supplements are part of an NIH program supported by the Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity (COSWD) to recognize the crucial role of effective mentorship in developing scientific leaders and a diverse biomedical and behavioral research workforce.

The NIGMS supplements for 2022 are expected to total more than $3.7 million. Award recipients are listed below.
