Biographical Sketch: Kadir Aslan, Ph.D.

Kadir Aslan, Ph.D., is a program director in the Biochemistry and Bio-related Chemistry Branch in the Division of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry. He administers research grants in the areas of biotechnology development and chemical biology, as well as all SBIR/STTR grants in the branch. He also oversees postdoctoral fellowships and serves in the NIH Diversity Program Consortium’s Sponsored Programs Administration Development (SPAD) program.

Before joining NIGMS, he served as a professor at Morgan State University. He earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and conducted postdoctoral research at University of Maryland, Baltimore.
