Anne Gershenson, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Biophysics, Biomedical Technology, and Computational Biosciences. She oversees research projects and small business innovation research grants in the application of molecular modeling methods to specific biological problems.
Gershenson was previously a research associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She earned an A.B. in physics from Bryn Mawr College and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Michigan. She performed postdoctoral research at the California Institute of Technology and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She was also an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at Brandeis University.
