Biographical Sketch: Anne Gershenson, Ph.D.

Anne Gershenson, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Biophysics, Biomedical Technology, and Computational Biosciences​. She oversees research projects and small business innovation research grants in the application of molecular modeling methods to specific biological problems.

Gershenson was previously a research associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She earned an A.B. in physics from Bryn Mawr College and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Michigan. She performed postdoctoral research at the California Institute of Technology and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She was also an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at Brandeis University.
