Tracy Koretsky, Ph.D., is a scientific review officer in the Scientific Review Branch, where she oversees the review of grant applications related to research, training and education, and research capacity. 

Prior to joining NIGMS, Koretsky worked on retrotransposition in Schizosaccharomyces pombe in the laboratory of Dr. Henry Levin at Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. She also served as a visiting assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University, where she pursued her interests in protein synthesis, aminoacyl tRNA synthetases, and ribosome assembly.

Koretsky earned a B.A. in biology from San Francisco State University and a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology from Carnegie Mellon University. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
