NIGMS Fiscal Year 2023 Budget

On Thursday, December 29, 2022, the President signed the Omnibus spending bill to keep NIH Institutes running through September 30th. The Bill and Report language addresses the following:

  • NIGMS’ Total Appropriation would be nearly $3.239 billion ($147 million increase over the FY2022 Appropriation)
  • PHS funding increases to $1.412 billion ($103 million increase over the FY2022 Appropriation)
  • ​IDeA program funding will be no more than $425.9 million​​
