Michelle R. Bond, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry, where she administers research grants covering glycoscience, carbohydrate chemistry, synthetic biology, and natural products. In addition, she manages institutional predoctoral training grants at the Chemistry-Biology Interface. She serves as a program contact for the Maximizing Investigators' Research Award (MIRA) program for early stage investigators.

Prior to joining NIGMS, Bond was an intramural NIH staff scientist at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). 

Bond received a B.S. in organic chemistry from Gettysburg College and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Stanford University. She conducted her postdoctoral work in the NIDDK Laboratory of Cell and Molecular Biology.
