Biographical Sketch: Paula Flicker, Ph.D.

Paula Flicker, Ph.D., is the Biophysics branch chief in the Division of Biophysics, Biomedical Technology, and Computational Biosciences. She administers grants dealing with biophysical studies of supramolecular complexes. Dr. Flicker also administers grants in technologies for structural biology. In addition, she​ manages training grants in the area of molecular biophysics. Dr. Flicker is a co-coordinator of the trans-NIH Transformative High Resolution CryoEM Common Fund program.

Before joining NIGMS, she was an assistant professor in the department of molecular biology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Flicker earned a B.S. in biophysics from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in biophysics from Brandeis University. She conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University; the University of California, Berkeley; and the University of California, San Francisco.
