Webinar for Bridges to the Baccalaureate (T34) and Bridges to the Doctorate (T32) Program Applicants

Are you preparing a grant application for the Bridges to the Baccalaureate (B2B) or the Bridges to the Doctorate (B2D) institutional training program? If so, please join our webinar to learn about the programs and application components. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions:

During the webinar, we’ll provide a broad overview of the programs and note important changes made to the funding opportunity announcements. We’ll also share our expectations of applications and the required data tables for the upcoming September receipt dates. Additionally, you’ll receive compliance information to help avoid issues that could lead to application withdrawal. You can send questions before the webinar to Shakira Nelson and Laurie Stepanek (B2B program) and Bob Coyne (B2D program) or post them in the chat box during the event.

Shakira is a Program Officer in the Division of Training and Workforce Development (TWD). With a background in immunology and infectious diseases, she oversees several T32 basic biomedical programs, and has a small portfolio in Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry (PPBC) focusing on systemic immune and inflammatory responses.

Laurie Stepanek

Laurie is a neuroscientist and former teaching faculty member who administers institutional training programs, research education programs, and individual fellowships. She also manages research grants in the area of genetic mechanisms underlying behavior.
Bob Coyne

Bob Coyne

Before his retirement in 2023, Bob managed grants in the areas of chromosome structure and the microbiome, as well as postdoctoral fellowships and the Bridges to the Doctorate training program.
