NIGMS and the Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at the National Science Foundation jointly support this program, which addresses the pressing need to bring mathematics and statistics into the core of biological and biomedical research and to broaden the use of innovative mathematics in understanding life processes.
Applications, which are reviewed by a joint NSF/NIGMS panel, are accepted once a year. For details, see NSF Program Solicitation 20-575 and NIH Guide Notice NOT-GM-20-036. Please note that applications should be submitted to NSF.
