Biographical Sketch: Lisa Dunbar, Ph.D.

Lisa Dunbar, Ph.D., is chief of the Centers, Resources and Research Support (CRRS) section of the Scientific Review Branch. She oversees the review of a wide range of grant mechanisms including scientific projects and training and workforce development programs. Dunbar joined NIGMS as a PRAT (Pharmacology/Postdoctoral Research Associate Trainee) fellow and completed postdoctoral training at NIDCD/NIH. She earned a B.A. from Bennington College and a Ph.D. in cell biology from Yale University. Her responsibilities include reviews for NIGMS special initiatives such as SuRE​, program projects, workforce development and diversity programs, and IDEA state initiatives.
