Yang Zhou, Ph.D., is a program director in the
Division for Research Capacity Building, where she oversees the Institutional Development Award (IDeA) co-funding program, and manages grants for the Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) and the IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) programs.
Prior to joining NIGMS, Zhou was a health scientist administrator in the Division of Extramural Research Activities at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Zhou received her B.S. degree in traditional Chinese medicine in China, and a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She conducted postdoctoral research in cancer imaging at Purdue University and the National Cancer Institute.
